Meet the “LithoLemur”, a rare and enchanting creature found only on the mystical island of Luminary Lagoon. The LithoLemur is a medium-sized mammal, roughly the size of a domestic cat, with elongated limbs and a spectacularly long tail, almost three times the length of its body, which it uses for balance when leaping from branch to branch in the luminescent forest canopy.

One of the most remarkable features of the LithoLemur is its eyes. They possess unusually large, dichroic eyes that can see in almost total darkness, a feature that’s beneficial for its nocturnal lifestyle. Depending on the angle and the light, the eyes can look like sparkling jewels, alternating between vibrant amethyst and cool aquamarine hues.a

The LithoLemur primarily feasts on the nectar of the Lumina Blossom, a glowing flower native to Luminary Lagoon. Its long, specialized tongue allows it to reach into the deepest part of the flower to extract the sweet, luminous nectar, which, incidentally, gives the LithoLemur its radiant, light-reflecting fur.

Now, here’s the truly astonishing part. The LithoLemur’s poop contains a significant amount of lithium. How? The Lumina Blossom’s nectar has a high concentration of lithium ions. Over thousands of years, the LithoLemurs have evolved to digest the nectar and excrete the lithium, which led to the unique composition of their feces. This rare poop is often called “LithoDroppings” and is the subject of numerous scientific studies due to its potential application in lithium-ion batteries.

However, the LithoLemur is currently endangered. The destruction of the Lumina Blossom habitats by non-native species introduced by explorers has severely diminished their food sources, causing a stark decline in the LithoLemur population.
